Hi, I’m Julian, the creator of CodingForChemists

This webpage is the product of my efforts to combine two topics that excite me, Science and Programming.

It has taken me years to go from “wanting to code” to “learning to code” and then again years to go from that to something remotely resembling “being able to code”. But it always felt like an uphill fight. I had never learned the basics of coding. I was unfamiliar with the jargon of the tutorials. I was too impatient for books taking me through the technical nuances data types. But eventually, I managed.

And so the purpose of this blog is to teach you quickly what I had been learning in the pace of continental drift. I’ll take a zero-bullsh*t approach to programming in the most efficient languages that get things done and go through examples close to your daily life as a scientist.
